Affiliate Disclosure
The short version: we don't earn anything from the links on this site. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored posts and no paid placements. Here's exactly what that means.
dragonkind.wiki is not a participant in any affiliate or advertising programme. We are not an Amazon Associate, we do not earn commissions, and no company pays us for coverage.
◆ What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is an ordinary-looking link carrying a tracking tag. If you follow it and buy something, the retailer pays the site owner a small commission. It is a common way for review and recommendation sites to fund themselves — and it is the reason most disclosure pages like this one exist.
We're telling you about it precisely because this site does not do it.
◆ Where our book links go
Some of our pages — such as Books Like Fourth Wing and our reading order — include links to Amazon so you can look up a title, check a price or buy an edition without searching for it yourself.
Those are plain links with no tracking tag attached. They look like this:
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=fourth+wing+rebecca+yarros
If you buy through one of them, Amazon keeps the whole sale. We receive nothing, and this site's income does not change in any way based on whether you click.
◆ What it costs you
Nothing, either way. Because there is no tracking tag, nothing about your visit is reported back to us by a retailer — we cannot see what you bought, and we cannot link a purchase to you. For how we handle data on our own side, see our privacy policy.
◆ What it changes about our content
Everything we publish is written for one reason: it is the guide we wanted to find and couldn't. Our recommendation lists are editorial picks — the books we would hand to a friend — and no book, edition or product appears on this site because anyone paid for it, because a link was convenient, or because a commission might follow.
That independence is worth more to us than a referral fee, which is why we have kept the site free of affiliate tags so far.
◆ If that ever changes
We may one day decide to fund the site with affiliate links or advertising. If we do, this page will be rewritten before the first such link goes live, the change will be dated at the top, and every affected page will carry a clear note. You will never have to guess whether a link on dragonkind.wiki pays us.
Advertising, if it happens, is covered separately in our privacy policy.
◆ Official status
This site is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Rebecca Yarros, Yarros Ink, Inc., or her publishers. We link to books and to the official dragonkind.com experience because they are what we write about — not because of any commercial relationship. See our terms of use for the full unofficial statement.
